Our Worship Spaces

The church is most certainly the people who gather to worship, not buildings or land, but our unusual worship spaces have shaped much of who we are.

Our Indoor Worship Space

Most of the year, we worship in this space.  Well designed and crafted, it is elegant in its relative simplicity.  Some stained glass windows adorn the top of the space, but most of the windows are clear, allowing us to see falling snow, fall foliage, and an occasional deer.  Our indoor worship space is completely in the round, and, while this may seem unusual to some, it is an integral part of who we are as Hilltoppers, an unique space that is not only peaceful, but a space that fosters a strong sense of community.

Our Outdoor Worship Space

From Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, we normally worship in this beautiful outdoor setting.  Surrounded by trees, we are enveloped by tranquility and are well reminded of the glory of God.  Even outside of summer, we occasionally use this space for baptisms, weddings, and the blessing of pets in early October.

As nature lovers, we find the outdoor chapel in the woods a spiritually moving retreat for our summer services.  All of God’s creatures seem to gather there for worship.
